Welcome! I’m Rev. Tomás Garza, and I’m delighted that you’re here exploring your spirituality, which means you’re ready to start doing the deeper work. There’s nothing more rewarding in the end, even if the journey seems long, even painful. We all want peace of mind; it’s why we’re interested in the spiritual path in the first place.
As a Teacher of A Course in Miracles, Author, and Workshop Facilitator, I serve as a guide for you in your exploration. I’m all about making sure you have the hands-on, practical tools to help you set aside all the blockages to your awareness of who and what you really are. I can help you make sense of spiritual ideas that may seem complex or esoteric; after all, truth does not have to be a mystery. It’s actually very simple in the end.
I have studied and practiced a number of the world’s spiritual traditions, including Christianity, shamanism, and Tibetan Buddhism. What I have learned is that no matter what the tradition, form, or outward ritual, spirituality presents us all with universal ideas. Everyone can access them if they so choose.
These days my own practice centers on A Course in Miracles. I am a three-time published Author, Host of the podcast Decide to Transform, and Host of the YouTube video series A Course in Miracles 365: Awakening to Love. I’ve had a personal meditation practice since the mid-1980s and have taught meditation to both in-person and virtual audiences.
In past career lives, I have served as a family mediator in private practice, tour guide and travel host, and Adjunct Professor of Conflict Resolution at Portland State University. My wife Cindy and I have traveled extensively, love hot climates, and live in Surprise, Arizona.
